Last Saturday, William Hall, who resides near Alamo, visited the town of Jackville, while there indulged to excess in the bowl which maddens.  He started home at a late hour in the evening and drove off of the embankment of the bridge east of the village. He was thrown down the embankment, the team and vehicle all falling in a promiscuous pile on the top.  He was crushed and mangled in a horrible manner.  The story which comes to this city is to the effect that he was dead when found and the horses so inextricably tangled in the fall that they were unable to get up.  They were discovered by a woman who returned to the village and informed some men that a team and buggy were laying at the foot of the hill.  They extricated the team from their tangle and found the dead body of Hall underneath.  All we can hear about the tragedy in rumor.  Hall is a drinking character and was at one time before the courts charged with procuring an abortion on Lucinda peed.  He is a married man and leaves quite a family of children.- kbz
